Dakota Staton - Ms. Soul (1974)
















American jazz and R&B vocalist. Born June 3, 1932, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Died April 10, 2007, New York City, New York, USA. 
She released several acclaimed albums in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Her biggest success came with 'The Late, Late Show' in 1957. For a time following her 1958 wedding to Talib Daawud, an Antiguan Muslim trumpeter, she was also known by her Muslim name, Aliyah Rabia. 

Ms. Soul is an album by American jazz vocalist Dakota Staton recorded in 1974 and released on the Groove Merchant label.
